ZONES are Torontonal polychrome. A presque-paradise coated with dystopic twang. Derek McKeon and Kat Murie crank out supersaturated pop plateaus rich with melodic microclimates. Driven by levelled psychedelia and a massively warped guitar, their music seems to float as if weightless despite being loaded to the brim. The first few cuts from their sophomore release, After Image, out in April on the mighty Pleasence Records, brought a welcomed glow to OBEY HQ during the dark depths of winter.
