The Halifax Rumi Ensemble

A spiritually progressive group of performers who take traditional Persian music as their nucleus and expand it into a tapestry of sensuous detail. Their unique approach to composition and execution is an homage to the 13th century Sufi mystic and poet Rumi, whose innovative teachings laid the foundations for what we now understand as classical Iranian and Afghan music.
