Easily one of our favourite bands in Canada right now, New Fries conjure frenetic, combustible no-wave energy with a playful sense of Steinese sophistication. Despite using guitar, bass, drums and vocals as their chosen tools, this Toronto four-piece bypass any trappings of being a ‘rock band in 2016′. Teetering at the edges of a given composition, New Fries toss rare grooves into the ether, channel harsh pleasures and blast refreshing mantras in abstract formation.
