DJ Haram is a producer and DJ originally from New Jersey, currently based in Philadelphia. Stylistically versatile, she throws down for Jersey, Philly, and Baltimore with club and booty bounce sets but has also been known to pay homage to her roots in Middle Eastern dance music and DIY noise. In Philly, she’s an active member in several communities, hosting nights both above and underground. Her curatorial talents have been tapped by MoMA PS1 and the Fringe Arts Festival. 2018 saw the arrival of 700 Bliss, a collaborative project with close friend and afrofuturist star Moor Mother. DJ Haram brings a heavy NRG to the wild junctions of her live sets. We can hardly imagine a selector more fit to rip the nite open at OBEY.
